“What Am I Supposed to Say?”

Deion Sanders has a love-hate relationship with football. On one hand, the fans, students, and his team love him for what he’s done and what he’s doing now. On the other hand, some of his peers dislike him for his authenticity. We’ve already seen how unwarranted hate doesn’t sit well with the coach after the game with the Nebraska Cornhuskers.

As the game against the Colorado State Rams approaches, their coach, Jay Norvell, has started taking shots at ‘Coach Prime’, disrespecting his attire and mannerisms. Deion Sanders appears to be unfazed by all of this. The Buffaloes coach has the love and support of Stephen A. Smith and the gang, and they’re not afraid to show it.

A recent ESPN video sheds light on the situation when the ESPN crew interviewed ‘Coach Prime.’ Jay Norvell recently made some comments about Deion Sanders, stating that his team was not happy with the Buffaloes and that ‘they’re tired of it.’ He also mentioned that his mother taught him to take his hats and glasses off when he’s talking to grown-ups. To which Sanders replied, “What am I supposed to say to that?

Coach Prime’ believes that as African Americans, both coaches should have more solidarity and try to lift each other up, but it appears that’s not the case. One of the interviewers added that Norvell might have some personal feelings towards Sanders. Another host jokingly advised Sanders to gift one of the ‘Blenders’ to Norvell. It was almost coincidental to see the other interviewers wearing glasses, seemingly as if they were mocking Norvell.

Stephen A. Smith jumped in to acknowledge everything that Sanders has done for the Buffaloes, bringing back-to-back titles to the team. He also mentioned how some people out there are envious of him and don’t want him to succeed, expressing their jealousy. Not to anyone’s surprise, Smith wanted to know how Coach Prime pulled this off, to which Coach Prime responded, “We just believed”.

Sanders said that he doesn’t care about the noise or the naysayers and just focuses on the game and dictating the plays. That’s what their locker room chat is all about — believing in themselves and concentrating on the game. Coach mentioned that even though he left the NFL, he’s still playing the same game, just from a different standpoint.

Nebraska faced an embarrassing 36-14 defeat as a response to what the Cornhuskers coach Matt Rhule said about Sanders.

Ahead of the Rocky Mountain Showdown

The Rocky Mountain Showdown is just around the corner, featuring the Colorado Buffaloes going head-to-head with the Colorado State Rams in a much-anticipated game. It’s worth noting that Sanders has had such a significant impact on the game that a single ticket costs over $500 to attend. The game is set to take place this Saturday, and early predictions don’t seem to favor the Rams.

Interestingly enough, the Rams haven’t won a game against the Buffaloes since 2014. Whether it’s Sanders or not, the Buffaloes have remained undefeated against them for about a decade. Perhaps Jay Norvell is trying to incite something in the hopes of winning the game. Maybe this time ‘Coach Prime’ will take it ‘personal’ as well.
